Ryanair - 50 Extra Routes To Malaga

The Irish airline has announced that, next winter, it will be offering a greater number of low-season flights from three destinations in Germany, as well as destinations in Amsterdam, Prague, Santander and Poland, into Malaga.

This increase marks the company’s greatest ever number of routes during the low tourist season. The new flights will be especially beneficial for German holidaymakers in search of some winter sun, with flights now departing from Bremen, Dortmund and Frankfurt Main airports outside of the peak season.

The new timetable will also benefit the residents in Amsterdam, the Czech capital of Prague and the Polish city of Wrocław, with flights running more regularly to and from Malaga airport from the winter onwards.

Head of marketing and sales for Ryanair in Spain, José Espartero, said: “This increase in low season will mean the airline carries nearly 4.4 million passengers in 2017 to and from Malaga airport”.

The number of routes this winter will now be similar to the 52 routes that were offered to passengers during last year’s high summer season.

During low season, the airline now plans to run 150 flights a week, including the new links to Prague, Dortmund, Bremen, Santander and Wrocław twice a week, four flights a week to the Netherland’s main airport at Amsterdam and the main airport at Frankfurt Main.

This off-peak increase is a clear indicator of the steady popularity of Marbella and the surrounding area.
